Update the extender's firmware using the Linksys app

Using the Linksys WiFi app, you can setup, log in, and view the advanced settings. The firmware update option is another feature of the advanced settings that aids in updating the operating version. To use this feature, though, you need to install and use the app on your smartphone. To access the advanced settings panel, go to the portal and click the Linksys Extender Login button. Next, to see the availability of the most recent version, choose Administration > Firmware Update. You can update the version of your extension model by selecting the exact version. As an alternative, you can enable the Auto-update option on the app site to have it update the firmware automatically. You're not going to need to get involved with this strategy in order to complete the process manually. In the end, reboot the extender to get the update implemented and check the performance later on.
