According to the Delta airlines pet policy, travellers can safely and comfortably transport their pets. You just need a carrier to transport your pet in the cabin if it is tiny and complies with the airline's pet policy. Delta will transfer your pet into the cargo hold if it is too big to fit beneath the seat, it is an animal other than a cat or dog, or it is a particularly lengthy flight. Pets may travel as checked luggage or in the cabin. Small dogs and cats are allowed to travel in the cabin on flights under six hours. Pets must stay in the carrier at all times.
